Mala Ramac X3M GPR System is the most compact GPR system commercially available on the market. The X3M is an integrated radar control unit, fitted directly on a shielded antenna and powered externally.
The built-in electronic design makes it low weight and compact size system, easier to assemble and operate. No antenna cable is required since the control unit is mounted directely on top of any of the MALA shielded antennas. It communicates directly with the XV11 GPR Monitor or laptop running our free GroundVision2 acquistioning software.
Incredibly, the housing is made of a single block of aircraft grade aluminium which is then completely sealed. The IP68 enviromental rating is the highest of any ground penetrating radar control unit commercially available on the market today and the unit is virtually industructable.

- Weight: 1.7 kg/ 3.7 lb
The Mala Ramac X3M GPR System integrated radar control unit from MALÅ is compatible with MALÅ’s 100, 250, 500 and 800 MHz shielded antennas and designed to fit directly onto the antenna. This combined with the built-in electronic design, low weight and compact size make the Mala Ramac X3M GPR System one of the smallest GPR systems available. An Ethernet link between the X3M and the XV Monitor, or Notebook PC¹, offers high speed point to point communication for reliable and high quality data transfer.
The built-in auto stacking feature ensures optimum data quality at maximum survey speed. The low power consumption offers in excess of six hours measuring time with a standard battery. The convenience of this flexible and modular design means that an X3M based GPR system can be quickly and easily configured for use across a wide range of applications, simply by changing the antenna. This flexible approach offers you an affordable choice to system configuration. You only need to invest in what you need today; however, as your needs change, so can your Mala Ramac X3M GPR System.
Depending on the application, the Mala Ramac X3M GPR System is typically configured as either a pushing or pulling system. As a pushing system the X3M control unit is connected to either a 250, 500 or 800 MHz antenna which is mounted into the Rough Terrain Cart. As a pulling system, a measuring wheel is fitted to the mounting block on the back of the shielded antenna and then the antenna with Mala Ramac X3M GPR System control unit fitted is pulled across the survey areas by means of a handle or strap. In this set-up, the user wears the XV Monitor or notebook PC on a shoulder/ chest harness/ holder for portability and ease of viewing.
